Access Twitter from your Dashboard
Twidget brings the Twitter micro blogging service to your Mac's Dashboard.
Working as just another widget, Twidget is easy to install and run. Once it's set up, just open up your Dashboard and click on the Twidget window to use it. The widget consists of a simple window into which you can type your Twitter updates. Your Mac will have to be connected to the Internet and you'll have to make sure you've entered your Twitter password and username too.
Twidget is unfortunately too limited compared to other desktop Twitter tools. There's no way of checking out your followers or who you're following. Also a bit frustrating, you can't look at the previous updates you posted and the messages you sent to other people. We also found it a bit annoying to have to launch the Dashboard every time to access it.
Despite these shortcomings, Twidget can be a useful tool if you just want to quickly post an update.
Twidget is a simple widget to quickly post updates on Twitter via your Dashboard.
